Hydrogenesis marks summer operating season

Conceived by Auriga Energy, the Hydrogenesis ferry is powered by Auriga Energy fuel cells delivering up to 12kW continuous power, though an Auriga Energy Power Management Unit (PMU) controlling the delivery of the zero-emissions power to the propeller via twin permanent magnet motors. Auriga Energy was responsible for the complete on-board power generation, control/management and the hydrogen fuel systems with the hydrogen gas and refuelling station provided by Air Products. AurigaGen UPS

Auriga Energy’s UPS installation partners Linnet Technology Ltd. installed their innovative new AurigaGen hydrogen fuel cell UPS/backup power at the offices of Sabio Ltd. in Glasgow City centre in the spring of 2012. Sabio Ltd. is a world leader in the integration of contact centre and unified communications systems with an impressive list of blue chip clients. The AurigaGen UPS was formally unveiled in the presence of Fergus Ewing, Minister for Energy, Innovation and Tourism on 11th September, during his formal opening of the Sabio office.  Linnet Tech won the SELECT Electrotechnical Awards 2012 for Best New Product.

Sustainable Shipping Award

Bristol Hydrogen Boats Limited, which is building the UK’s first hydrogen ferry powered by an Auriga Energy fuel cell system, is the winner of the Sustainable Shipping Award for “Environmental Innovation of the Year”. This is a great recognition of Auriga Energy’s innovation and the start of a great new industry for clean marine power

Bristol Hydrogen Boats

Auriga Energy has partnered with local ferry operators to form a new joint venture, Bristol Hydrogen Boats, to build and demonstrate a hydrogen fuel cell powered ferry in Bristol. The project will demonstrate the viability of the new zero-emission fuel cell technologies in marine transport operations and introduce hydrogen technologies to the public providing a stimulus to the wider adoption of this hydrogen fuel cell technologies

Hannover Energy Fair 2010

Auriga Energy attended the Hannover Energy Fair 2010 with a Bristol City Council/BETS and UKTI delegation. We were honoured to be invited to present on hydrogen and fuel cells at the “Innovative and Competitive Renewable Energy Solutions to Meet Global Challenges” symposium organised by HannoverImpuls on 20th April. It was a highly successful event and visit which further cemented the collaboration between the twined cities of Hannover and Bristol
