Conceived by Auriga Energy, the Hydrogenesis ferry is powered by Auriga Energy fuel cells delivering up to 12kW continuous power, though an Auriga Energy Power Management Unit (PMU) controlling the delivery of the zero-emissions power to the propeller via twin permanent magnet motors. Auriga Energy was responsible for the complete on-board power generation, control/management and the hydrogen fuel systems with the hydrogen gas and refuelling station provided by Air Products.
